The lock keeps authenticating on-chip so it survives network outages, while the dashboard gives an enterprise or parcel operator the remote-management and compliance layer that a stand-alone PIN or card lock does not.
How a smart cabinet lock works
An operator manages cabinets from an app dashboard — grouping by site, issuing time-limited passes, and unlocking remotely. Each unlock event (user, cabinet, time) is recorded and exportable for compliance. The lock itself authenticates locally over BLE, so a cabinet keeps working even if the dashboard gateway drops. The premium metal chassis and mortise are built for daily enterprise use and longer service intervals.
